Content Strategy and Information Architecture: What the Hell?!

I had an exciting and informative time at LavaCon last week, and live-blogged as much as I could. Of course, I couldn’t live-blog my own talk. But I can provide you with the slides for “Content Strategy and Information Architecture: What the Hell?!” In case you missed my talk on content strategy and information architecture, I explain the blessing (and curse) we share as the fields evolve in the slides below.

Content Strategy and Information Architecture: What the Hell?!

My talk focused on how content strategy and IA overlap, and where they diverge. While content strategists may do information architecture as a task, the two are also fields in their own right. They each originated on their own, and the histories inform why we view the tasks the way we do today.

This is a great talk for UX designers, content strategists, IAs, and developers. It will help you see how to better collaborate, and how to improve the user experiences you create.

What to talk about content strategy and information architecture? Find me at an upcoming event!
